We use a curry paste you can buy at most markets. You put it, some water, meat and veggies of your choice into a skillet or wok. The paste thins out after a while to a normal consistency. Then we throw it over rice. We prefer Jasmine rice or basmatti. The curry paste will tell you how much water to add for the correct consistency.

Our commissary carries it, both the Jasmine and the Basmatti. They also carry sushi rice which kinda surprised me.

we do too. you can get it in a little box in the Asian food section usually. Cant remember the brand. . . We make it with potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, onions, chicken (or steak), and calrose (or any other short grained) rice. There are different types of curry though--Indian is much different than Japanese for instance. . . and I'm sure there are more than those two. . .

They should have an Asian line there were they sell curry mix. I know this commissary has it. Then again we are in Japan! Lemoore has a few Asian stores there....or I should say they did. You'll diffently find some in Fresno.

Oh yeah, you can serve rice instead of the quinoa.
