Is it true that if a service member is killed while deployed that their SGLI is doubled?

For example, if you have $400,000 in SGLI, would you get $800,000 if you were killed while deployed?

I've never heard of that. When I googled it seems like $400,000 is the maximum offered.

I've heard that too, but I'm pretty sure it's one of those urban legends, like military spouses can go to college for free or that all dependents get one free plastic surgery procedure.
