This site is not officially affiliated with the DoD or any branch of the government. The poster assumes all responsibilities and consequences for the content of their posts. We will remove spam, requests for money and/or gifts, and unsolicited advertisements as soon as we see them. If you're trying to collect for charity, please PM an admin before posting. If you think you have a product or service that would be of benefit to military members and their families, e-mail us first for permission. This includes requests for interviews, stories, surveys, research, etc. The link is at the bottom of the page. Remember OPSEC. Please do not post specific dates/times/locations of when loved ones are coming home. For the safety of everyone. Use common sense in this area, please. More info can be found here: http://militaryspousesupport.net/boa...89&postcount=1 DEPLOYMENT TICKERS Many spouses like to use deployment tickers to count down their soldier’s deployment. Never have a ticker that shows XX days until s/he returns. If you must have a ticker, then have one with the amount of time s/he has been gone. We reserve the right to edit posts and photos that may give too much info with regards to OPSEC. Use common sense about posting your personal info on a public message board. If you post your e-mail address directly in a post, you may just increase the amount of spam you receive. We are constantly getting new members. The memberlist is pruned from time to time. If you've not made your first post within a month of registering, consider yourself fair game to be deleted. If that happens you'll have to re-register with the site. Members who have not logged in for more longer than a year or request for their account to be deleted will be moved to the inactive user group. Be aware that members are able to report private messages to board staff. When this occurs, the text of the PM is placed in the private board business forum and is readable by the moderators and admins. ********************** RULES 1. Be respectful in how/what you type. Since we don't see other posters face to face, sometimes it's hard to tell exactly what you mean with just words on the screen. Words can be hurtful if taken the wrong way. 2. We are here to support each other, and here to listen. In turn, it's alright not to make a post. Sometimes a hug is worth more than an actual post, just so the original poster knows that someone is out there 'listening'. 3. If you're having a problem with a specific member on the board, take it to PM's, keep it off the board. There is also a very handy ignore feature on the board if you do not wish to deal with that member. 4. What's posted in the minimum post forums, stays in those forums. Don't carry topics over to the general board or outside sites. If you are caught doing so, that is considered a bannable offense. 5. We won't tolerate abuse of reputation, user notes, profile visitor messages, or tags. If it is found that a member is using one of those avenues to send hateful, harassing, or threatening messages, that member will no longer have access to those features. Social groups, visitor messages, and user notes are public and carry the same guidelines as the forums. Private conversations belong in PMs. 6. Do not share your passwords with others. Not everyone has the same posting and reading permissions. We can tell when another member signs in under another's name. 7. If you do choose to share personal information you are expected to act with integrity. Do not lie to or mislead either your fellow members or site administration. If we discover evidence that leads us to reasonably believe that a member has misrepresented themselves, disciplinary action will be taken, which may include permanent banning. 8. We have an infraction system based on points. The system works as follows: A first offense will result in a warning that is worth zero points. This does not expire. Following this, if another issue arises a one point infraction will be given. If two points are received, the account in question will be placed on a month suspension. If after that suspension another problem arises and a third point is earned, the account will be banned. Points expire individually in one year from the date of issue, and all points will be voted on by staff. *In special circumstances, Admins reserve the right to go straight to suspension or banning if the offense is excessive.* Last edited by Corey; 10-28-2012 at 05:20 PM.
