How often do you replace sponges?

Just curious abotu some household ?'s

What is like the time frame that you replace them? I forget but when they look gross i do or if they smell weird i do for sure I have a bunch under the sink it's more liek a when i remember type of thing

Right before they start looking nasty. Probably every three weeks? Depends how many dishes i washed that month

Yea sometimes mine will smell weird but they were barely used but i toss them depends on how much i was by hand I suppose! Usually use dw

At the very least weekly unless they smell. I also cut the sponges in thirds since it does the job the same as a regular one and saves money since I throw them out so often.

I don't use sponges, I use disclothes. They get rotated every 3rd day and bleached once monthly.

I bought one of those sponge things where the liquid dispenses at the end... I replace the sponge on it whenever it starts to get tattered.

When it gets dry and crusty and I can't destinkify it using lemon juice. Maybe one every month or so.

I do the same since i throw everything in my dishwasher... There are only a few things i hand wash and a smaller sponge does the job just as good

I don't do sponges anymore. I have a drawer full of dishcloths and I grab a new one every time I require the use of one.

Every couple of weeks, if i feel like it's getting gross ill rinse it in cold water then microwave it for 30 seconds to kills germs

However, I have heard that microwaving them is a good idea.

I don't really use sponges. We have one but I'm pretty sure it's been used once in the month that we've been here.....I prefer washcloths & they get rotated every day.
