Default Lawn mower

We're thinking about buying a new lawn mower but I can't figure out which kind to get. The DH is letting me pick it because I'll be the one using it next year. Here are the 2 choices: Should we get a self-propelled without a bag, or a push one with a bag?

They have 2 at a really, really nice price at Walmart and the price doesn't matter as it's only a $70 difference between the 2.

We love our push mower! wait are you talking without a motor or with? Cause ours is without a motor, I love it! its a great workout but if we dont keep up the grass it gets pretty difficult to cut through it...

I do mean gas powered for both. I thought about an old-fashioned push type but we have a pretty big yard.

We have a self propelled without a bag and we used to have a push. I think the self propelled is WAY better!! It's alot easier. When we had the push we only mowed maybe an acre or so. With the self propelled I mow around three acres and I rather mow the three when its easier than the push with less yard

We got a Toro Recycler when our old mower conked out; it was highly rated in Consumer Reports and reasonably-priced. The self-propel feature takes a bit of getting used to-- it's a little fast-- but actually, the mower is light enough that I only use the self-propel when going uphill or a long way across the yard.

I wholeheartedly urge the splurge on a riding mower! We have a TroyBilt, which was less than $1k at Lowes with the discount. What we didn't get that I wish now we had, was the bagger. I'll be picking that up at the end-of-year sale this year.

We have a Honda self propelled, walk behind with bagger. I love it. It always starts. Our last mower was a Toro and it was the same setup and I liked it also. We thought about getting a ride on mower but what dh really wants is a john deer farm tractor with the bucket loader and all the attachments. The walk behind was much cheaper lol
