A friend of mine does, but he is a cop. He wears his side arm, off duty as well.

Like I been saying as well, even if some people do, there is a chance a gunman will massacre somewhere that does not contain a weapon carrier.

My step dad does, as well. He is a retired police officer, and AF SM.

Nuts are everywhere I'm not doubting that. Shanna asked if anyone actually carried, my college friend works for Oakland PD in CA (not always the best city) and carries his piece everywhere.

Hmmm not much difference between the two weapons:

Same caliber ammunition too.

Was just looking at the photos and names of those lost...so heartbreaking. I mean a 6 year old girl? 58 injured? Why did that monster do this?

Ps. I've been looking into jobs in the Toronto area as you think I should leave the country over these beliefs.
I'm not defending his actions. This dude is acrazy psycho who I hope gets the justice deserved and spends a lifetime behind bars.

I will however defend guns, and a persons right to own and have a gun in their home. As well as correct any information that is either inaccurate or false. It's a huge peeve of mine for any misleading or inaccurate info to be put out there.

Who knows. I'm anxious to hear the reasoning behind him doing all this. Why he did such a random thing? You are right though, he's a monster and I can only hope CO locks him up and throws away the key.

Wow that is SOME kinda weapon! Yikes!

I've only seen hunting rifles and pistols, in person. Grew up where people hunted, so that sort of gear was extremely common and it was in our home since before I was born.

I am torn. I want him to have the death penalty because then we wont waste money on him to live a good life in jail. But at the same time....death is too good for him. Too bad we cant send him to some prison where they do torture and poor food. He deserves to be in a small cell no windows and no human interaction. I hate the feelings I feel towards this evil person but it is so hard not to wish ill on him!

So I'm curious on stats and prevention.
Switzerland has a low gun crime rate. A large percentage of citizens their are armed. They have compulsory military service so they are all trained. In fact, training is mandatory on a regular basis. (Can you imagine the uproar in the US over that?) But, the UK, Australia and Canada also have low gun crime rates and they have very strict gun laws. So is it the our wishy washy ways that lead to one of the highest gun crime rates in the world?
The biggest defense I hear in the U.S. is that the crazies will get the guns anyway. OK, if that's true where are the crazies in those other countries? I'm all for responsible gun ownership. Personally, they make me nervous.
We can debate forever (including wasting our time on which exact weapon was used for a mass murder) but seriously, shouldn't we be asking how these countries keep the guns out of the random crazies hands?

I was trying to, but on all the channels, the audio is screwed up and it's just too annoying to try to watch.
