I've heard that's more on the enlisted side, though and they tend to move the officers every 3-4 years no matter what for "career purposes".

Ha no kidding, which is why DH went reserves. Being there a normal 4 years, no biggie, but for us we were most likely going to get stuck for good. Not worth it for us anymore. That place was soul-sucking! It felt like a dead-end for DH career wise, me career wise, everything.

currently DH has onlt 5 places he could go- all land jobs, 2 in VA 2 in CA 1 in FL.
if he was to advance 1 monre time there would be only 2 places he can go CA or NOVA.

Jon is Army and can go anywhere in the world with his MOS however we were stuck at Campbell for 5 yrs, which was great for the first 3 but the last 2 years I wouldn't wish on anyone..so he begged branch to send him anywhere...he turned down Germany bc he wasn't even home 4 months from being deployed and would have to give up his dwell time and be deployed within 6 months..so we took Hood which I actually like so far...this is our 1st PCS
