Default another newbie
So, first, I am not a "spouse," just a "girlfriend" so hope I am allowed here! lol. My boyfriend is Army- Airborne, but in a joint unit so stationed at MacDill AFB. I have two kids from a previous relationship that he has all but adopted as his own, and I work a crazy amount of hours as a professional marketing consultant.

My kids are both boys, ages 3 1/2 and 4 1/2.

I have been wanting to join a support group because as I am sure you all are familiar with, he is gone ALL the time. He actually leaves tomorrow for two weeks and then will be attending either airmaster or ranger school in August, so he will be home for about a week and a half and then gone again either a few more weeks or two months depending on which one he ends up going to. I guess I should be used to it, and it definitely has gotten easier over time, but I would like to have someone to talk to about things other than my friends who have no idea what it's like. I'm not at all complaining because I know it could be a lot longer, and he luckily only does 6 month deployments when he does them, but doesn't mean I am excited about it!

I'm Christine, right now I am not working, staying at home with the kid (from a previous relationship, lives with his bio-dad) and the hubs who recently returned from back to back deployments. The DH is Robbie and he has been AD Navy for just about 16 years now.

DH is Navy, hit 15 years in this month. We've been married for 11 years and we have 3 kids; 1 girl, 11yrs., and 2 boys, 6yrs. and 5yrs. I'm also expecting our 4th which we found out is a girl.

Nice to meet you all. My boyfriend, Brad, told me when he got home today that they are trying to get another guy to go on this deployment that they are leaving for tomorrow. He is supposed to be evaluating the guys that are leaving. I'm really hoping it doesn't happen because he would be leaving in three weeks. we met about a month after he came home from his last deployment, and as of right now is supposed to deploy again around March, so we have avoided that so far. I hate the not knowing. I airways thought I'd have at least a few weeks to prepare.
