As soon as they start to smell

Probably about every 2-3 weeks. I don't use sponges a whole lot anymore because they're expensive at the Commissary. When I could get a package of 3 at Walmart for $2, I used them a lot. But our Commissary sells one for something like $1.25.

I've started using microfiber wash cloths more. I like that they're washable.

I dont use them.

I think they are icky and spread gems

I use dishcloths (and a lot of them) I am a little OCD about it..

Im a bit of a germophobe when it comes to things like this, I use dishcloths- I pretty much use a new one each day, then they get washed in the washer. I sometimes use sponges too and they get put through the dishwasher every 48hrs or so and after about two goes of that they get thrown away...so

at LEAST once a week and thats after 2 washes

I remember a commercial in England that showed how a sponge can spread e-coli over all your surfaces

we don't wash many dishes by hand cuz we use the dishwasher. rather than throwing out an old sponge it gets used as a scrubber for the sink or the bathroom

When they start falling apart ... which is about every month because I no longer have a dishwasher so EVERYTHING gets washed by hand!

Every week I put it in the dishwasher to get washed. After about 3 weeks total of using it, I replace it. We bought a pack of sponges from Costco, so I go through them a lot, I hate dirty sponges.
