have any of you lived there for any length of time, specifically in or around Brisbane? I know Gem is in Australia, but I don't know where and she hasn't been on in awhile. I want to know about the suburbs and how different it is from America (because, I've only visited Mexico for a day or two, I have no experience living outside the US).

If/When this move occurs (several years from now), it would not be military based, but I would prefer to be near some military because my kids are still under Tricare.

Spousal Unemployment Benefits

Hello All. I have a quick (however complicated?) question lol. I know that in most states military spouses can receive unemployment if they are forced to quit their job due to their spouses PCS. I have currently been on unemployment since January (I was laid off of my corporate job after 5 years there...). Since, technically, I am not quitting my job due to the move, technically, would I still be able to continue to file for unemployment since I am still relocating with my husband to Italy in July? I asked my husband and we have done some research, but we aren't sure and sadly we haven't been able to get through to anyone at the unemployment offices near us in MD (go figure!).

It's really no big deal if I can't as we will still be financially stable, I just wanted to know so there wasn't as much pressure on me to find a job right when we get to Italy. Finding some kind of employment overseas has been one of the big worries and stressers about relocating to Italy as I have always worked and enjoy making my own money :-/

Any thoughts, suggestions, advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance :-)

I'm new to this whole thing, My fiance and i are getting married the day he graduates from BCT and then the next day he will go to AIT. They told us an AIT that is longer than 20 weeks, and his is 37 that they will move your family to you after ten weeks. Well after ten weeks he gets transferred to florida for the rest of his training. Does anyone know how long it should take to have me enrolled in with all the paperwork and would I be able to move to the base in florida when he gets moved there after those ten weeks? I dont really have a place I can stay so im trying to figure out how long it would take to get a house of base for us ):

She doesn't look much like a puppy anymore because she is getting so big. She is Bear's little shadow and he loves it. They are becoming so very attached. I was trying to check on Bear the other night and so I brought him into the wash room and she just cried and cried and cried outside the door until I brought him back out.

I took this one through the back window. Bear has dug a hole there and he let the puppy lay in it.
I'm currently a stay at home wife but hopefully I'll be going back to school soon for Psychology. We are currently stationed at RAF Lakenheath, UK. We don't have any children (maybe when we get back to the states) but we do have one very spoiled dog! My husband will be deploying soon so not looking forward to that but I know will make it through! I look forward to getting to know all of you!

How soon can he know when his PEB hearing is so I can figure out how to go about dealing with that??

The VA rating is 80% but hes' not sure if the PEB got the rest of his paperwork regarding his bilateral shoulders in before making their decision..
